Concordia Plan Services has reviewed the final regulations regarding the Affordable Care Act’s Employer Shared Responsibility provisions, or “pay or play” mandate, specifically the guidance on how educational institutions should calculate adjunct faculty to determine full-time or part-time status.
FYI, the requirements of the pay or play mandate take effect in 2015 for employers with 100 or more full-time employees and in 2016 for employers with 50-99 full-time employees.
