On May 26, 2018 Christ Our Savior Lutheran Church in Loudon, TN hosted 98 local veterans, including vets from WWII, Korea, Viet Nam, and representing all of branches of the service for our sixth annual pancake, sausage, bacon, and scrambled egg breakfast. The program included a color guard to post the national, state, and POW colors, pledge of allegiance, slideshow of local vets in uniform (way back when), a guest speaker, and singing patriotic music. Fourteen volunteers did setup, decoration, food prep, audio-visual, support, and cleanup tasks. About half of the veterans participating were from outside our church.
