Early Childhood Cabinet Members

The Early Childhood Cabinet, at the direction of the Mission & Ministry Executive, assists the Mid-South District early childhood centers by providing resources and planning educational conferences.  The members of the Cabinet are appointed by the Education Executive for a three year term.  The Cabinet meets approximately four times per year.  Each Cabinet member represents a region of the District and provides assistance to the EC Directors and educators in that region.  Please feel free to contact any member of the Cabinet for assistance.

Ann Laury has been in the educational field for over twenty six years. She is a graduate of Memphis State with a BS in Education with Early Childhood endorsement, a MAE from Cumberland in Curriculum and Instruction and a MAE in Educational Leadership and Supervision also from Cumberland. She has taught in Memphis City schools, Mississippi public schools, Nashville Metro Public schools and Christ the King Lutheran School. She has experience teaching in grades Kindergarten, first, second, third and multi age classrooms. She has served as the Title I Coordinator while teaching in Nashville. She has mentored to students from the University of Memphis and Christian Brother’s University who need field hours and student teaching experience. She also is Clinical Supervisor with WGU for student teachers in the Memphis area. She currently holds a Teaching license as well as an Administrator’s license for the state of Tennessee and has recently completed training for AdvancEd to serve as part of accreditation teams. Ann currently serves as Head of School for Christ the King Lutheran in Memphis, TN overseeing Preschool through 8th grade.

She is married to Wayne for 22 years. There are three wonderful children: Walker is a junior at the University of Memphis, Cameron is a senior at FACS and Kendall is a sophomore at FACS.

School Cabinet DinaDINA FOSHEE

Dina Foshee has a Master’s Degree in Instruction Curriculum and Leadership, a BS in Management, and a BS in Marketing. She is a called commissioned minister and currently serves as the Director at Faith Lutheran Preschool in Collierville, Tennessee. Faith Lutheran Preschool offers both a traditional and extended day Lutheran Preschool serving 274 children with a staff of 59. Dina is an active member at Christ The King Lutheran Church in Memphis, Tennessee.

shirley eimmermanSHIRLEY EIMMERMAN

Shirley Eimmerman grew up in the Lutheran School System in Maryland and South Florida.  After attending the University of Mississippi for Communications, came home to Florida, married her husband Scott and began her family. She became the Director of Children’s Ministry at her home church, Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Davie, Florida. Later after moving to Tennessee, she began working at First Lutheran School. This is her fifteenth year at the school and her 5th year as Director of the Early Childhood Education.
