A few highlights – Lutheran Schools Week 2017

Lutheran Schools across the nation celebrated National Lutheran Schools week from January 22-28. Our
schools observed this special week in a variety of fun and creative ways. Here’s a look at just a few of the
activities enjoyed by students across the Mid-South District during Lutheran Schools Week 2017.

Day three of Lutheran Schools Week at Heavenly Host Lutheran School (Cookeville, TN) was Career Day. Many exciting and inspiring costumes were worn to school on that day!
Christ the King Lutheran School (Memphis, TN) wrapped up the week’s festivities with a “Teachers vs. Students” basketball game. Some students (like the enthusiastic fans shown here) actually pulled for the teachers!
“Family Portrait Day” gave classes at Concordia Christian Academy (Jonesboro, AR) the chance to get a little silly as they dressed alike for a group photo. “Plaid” was the fun theme chosen by this creative class.
Christ Lutheran School (Little Rock, AR) kicked off its official celebration of National Lutheran Schools Week with some great praise music!
Students at Belvoir Christian Academy (Chattanooga, TN) took part in a creative activity with rocks, playing off the 2017 Lutheran Schools Week theme, “Upon This Rock.”
