CCF Family District Initiative-A New Reformation

The Mid-South District Youth Board hosted “Empowering You, a Youth and Family Ministry Workshop in Little Rock in October. “Empowering You” focused on equipping congregations to cast their vision of ministry on reaching the next generation. We were privileged to welcome Professor Ben Freudenburg – author of The Family Friendly Church, creator of Family Friendly Partnership Network, and Director of the Concordia Center for the Family – as facilitator for the event. Following the workshop, Professor Freudenburg invited the Mid-South District to partner with Concordia Center for the Family to pilot a district initiative to implement family ministry in their congregations. We are excited to welcome this new opportunity! The “CCF Family District Initiative-A New Reformation” will provide the Mid-South District with research, training, resources and family ministry partnerships in family life education and ministry. The ultimate goal is to empower and deliver family ministry training and support to Mid-South District congregations, enabling families to be faith leaders in the home.
