Deacon Jerry Stobaugh, Holy Spirit Lutheran Church

Holy Spirit is a Deacon lead congregation in Fayette County, Tennessee. It is the only Lutheran Church in the county. Deacon Jerry Stobaugh is a Certified Deacon with the Mid-South District and has been leading our congregation as we have been without a full-time Pastor for almost two years. He does this under the guidance and supervision of Pastor Mark Goble of Christ the King. The Deacon program allows our small congregation to continue to worship near our homes and with our church family.
Holy Spirit continues to host The Spot Club for Kids (grades 5-8) once a month with an average of 50 kids. Deacon Jerry retired from the Navy in 1995 and now works at Helena Chemical Company as a Software Engineer. He has been married to his wife Leona for 38 years and they have two grown sons. He enjoys golf in his free time.
