Fun
- Cane Creek Canyon Nature Preserve, We are going to visit one of the best nature preserves in the South to build trails and have fun.
- Alabama Music Hall of Fame, Muscle Shoals, Alabama. We are going to visit Hall of Fame and record music made for our retreat.
- Rattlesnake Saloon.
- We are going to visit a saloon tucked in a cave for burgers.
Worship & Study
Worship will be held at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, Florence, Alabama. We will study: Acts of Mercy, Helen Keller and Anne Sullivan
Helen Keller & Anne Sullivan We will learn about Helen Keller who was blind and deaf and how her tutor Anne Sullivan was able to reach her and become her teacher. Helen Keller’s story will frame our retreat as a focus on merciful actions.
Theme: hymn “LSB 849”
Our theme hymn, “LSB 849” has been adapted to the genre of the Muscle Shoals Sound for our in-studio recording session.
