On January 24, 2025, thousands from all faiths, walks of life, and corners of the country gathered in Washington, D.C. for the 51st March for Life. Unified by their passionate belief in the sanctity of life, crowds braved bitter cold temperatures—and protesters with opposing views—to lend their voices on behalf of those who have no voice. LCMS President, Rev. Matthew Harrison, was a featured speaker for the 2025 event, along with other prominent pro-life advocates such as US Vice President, JD Vance; Florida Governor, Ron DeSantis; and motivational speaker Bethany Hamilton (the shark-attack surviving Soul Surfer).
Mid-South District pastors Rev. Philip Young (Redeemer Lutheran in Nashville, TN) and Rev. Kevin Conger (Hope Lutheran in Jacksonville, AR and 2nd VP of the Mid-South District) and family members were among the thousands of marchers for this year’s event. “Thank you” to both for sharing images from this powerful day for life.
