The Early Childhood Cabinet, at the direction of the Executive Director for Education, Youth & Family, assists the Mid-South District early childhood centers by providing resources and planning educational conferences. The members of the Cabinet are appointed by the Education Executive for a three-year term. The Cabinet meets approximately four times per year. Each Cabinet member represents a region of the District and provides assistance to the EC Directors and educators in that region. Please feel free to contact any member of the Cabinet for assistance.
MRS. ANN LAURY
Ann Laury has been in the educational field for over thirty four years. She is a graduate of Memphis State with a BS in Education with Early Childhood endorsement, a MAE from Cumberland in Curriculum and Instruction and a MAE in Educational Leadership and Supervision also from Cumberland. She has completed her Colloquy thought Concordia, Chicago. She has taught in Memphis City schools, Mississippi public schools, Nashville Metro Public schools and Christ the King Lutheran School. She has experience teaching in grades Preschool, Kindergarten, first, second, third and multi age classrooms. She has served as the Title I Coordinator while teaching in Nashville. She mentors to students from the University of Memphis and Christian Brother’s University who need field hours and student teaching experience. She also is Clinical Supervisor with WGU for student teachers in their final semester. She currently holds a Teaching license as well as an Administrator’s license for the state of Tennessee and has completed training for AdvancEd and NLSA to serve as part of accreditation teams. Ann currently serves as Head of School for Christ the King Lutheran in Memphis, TN overseeing Preschool through 8th grade.
Ann comes from a large family of five girls and one boy raised here in Memphis. She graduated from Immaculate Conception High school then Memphis State University. She has been married for thirty years to Wayne. They have three children. Walker, the oldest, Cameron and our daughter, Kendall who all live in Memphis.

DINA FOSHEE
Dina Foshee has been the Director at Faith Lutheran Preschool in Collierville, TN since 2010. She has her MAT in Instruction & Curriculum Leadership from the University of Memphis, completed the Colloquy Program through Concordia River Forest and is a LCMS Commissioned Minister. She holds degrees in Marketing and Management from Christian Brothers University in Memphis.
She lives in Germantown with her husband and two dogs and is a mother to two grown children and is Lovey to her first grandchild. Dina loves helping other schools with setting up their preschool systems and has been an Educational Consultant for the Mid-South District for over ten years.
She has served as a former Board of Directors member for the Mid-South District and serves on NLSA accreditation teams to help assess schools in our District and mentor new Directors in the Memphis and Midsouth area.

HANNAH YOCUM
Hannah Yocum is originally from Illinois, graduated with an Early Childhood Teaching Degree from SIUE. After moving to Kentucky, she directed a Head Start program for 7 years. In 2022, she accepted the position as Preschool Director at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church and School. The school serves 200 students from 2 years old to 6th grade. Hannah, her husband, and three children spend time at church, sporting events, and on the farm taking care of their dog and poultry flock!
