On Tuesday, August 16, over 60 guests stopped by the Mid-South District Office for a special Law Enforcement Appreciation Lunch. Attendees included deputies from the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office, along with police officers from the Memphis and Bartlett communities. The event was hosted by the Mid-South District staff, with wonderful serving assistance from the student council members of Christ the King Lutheran School in Memphis.CTK students1

“It was our privilege to host these exceptional men and women and share our appreciation for the
difficult job they face every day,” said Mid-South District president, Rev. Dr. Roger Paavola. “We look forward to hosting them again and strongly encourage the ministries of our district to consider reaching out to law enforcement in their own communities with encouraging events like this.”
