On May 6th, we at Christus Victor Lutheran in Knoxville celebrated a huge mile stone. We turned 50!!! We had a great day with many guests from the past joining us in the celebration. Rev. Dr. Paavola was here and preached a beautiful sermon that touched the hearts of many of the people that were here. As the day approached, some women in the congregation surprised me with a beautiful hand made stole to commemorate the celebration. As well, a number of ladies had come together to make a beautiful banner that is proudly hung in out sanctuary. All in all it was an awesome day by God’s grace.
