Even as the Coronavirus crisis shut down most of our usual ministries, we were able to maintain our summer youth discipleship, called Leaders in Training. Due to our unique context this summer, we had three unique themes:
• Praying the Psalms – how to understand the Psalms and use them as a guide for our own prayers, especially in the midst of suffering and uncertainty
• Youth Anxiety: how to identify and respond to our own anxiety, as well as help others who are suffering
• Racism and Racial Justice: how to respond as a Christian
Four teenagers participated. In addition to study and conversation, we also had lots of fun together and concluded the summer with a game of laser tag!
