God’s Holy Helpers

Shepherd of the Hills presented an Angel Workshop at the Fairfield Glade Community Center on Saturday, September 28th, in FFG. The Event was sponsored by Thrivent Financial as a “LIVE GENEROUSLY” action team project. The workshop developed into a great spiritual outreach for the church. Forty-seven people attended, including twenty-five non-members. At least one participant traveled all the way from Nashville to attend.

A very caring team helped put the workshop together, along with Chris Dalton the church secretary. Pastor Andrew was at his finest as a great lecturer and apologist. He presented very useful and pertinent information on angels in the Biblical narratives of the Old and New Testaments and in the Christian Tradition as well. A beautifully crafted, handmade embroidered Angel Quilt, sewn by Kathi Parli, was awarded to Pastor Andrew for offering the workshop. Immediately following the lecture and presentation, a light lunch was offered to participants. It was a time of very enjoyable Christian fellowship. A love offering for the youth ministry at Shepherd of the Hills was taken.
