Each month, students at Belvoir Christian Academy participate in a service project to benefit a local charity that serves those in need. For December, the students were asked to fill up “Blessing Bags” for the homeless in the Chattanooga area.
Groups of children worked together to each fill two bags full of necessities, which included a blanket, tarp, gloves, hat, hand warmers, socks, lip balm, flash light and batteries, hand wipes and a bandana.
Over 35 bags were filled and will be donated to the Maclellan Shelter, a facility in Chattanooga, Tenn. that serves families by making it possible for male and female family members to stay together as they seek housing.
