Update
On Sunday, September 30, Chapel of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Sharps Chapel, TN voted to purchase land on which to build their first church building. Located on Sharps Chapel Road near the intersection with Post Master Road, the land is only about three minutes from Route 33.
“I am very thankful for the leadership of our congregation’s president Jeff Landis,” stated Paul Kritsch, pastor of the church. “I am also proud of the way our members searched out three possibilities and the way they prayed and discussed and then decided.”
More steps are to come as the congregation heads toward ground breaking and construction. Meanwhile, their 10:30 AM Sunday worship services and 9:00 AM Tuesday Neighborhood Bible Breakfasts continue to be held in the Sharps Chapel Community Center, 1542 Sharps Chapel Road.
Chapel of the Good Shepherd Looking for Land
Chapel of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Sharps Chapel, TN is looking for land on which to build their first church building, preferably on Sharps Chapel Road, about 2-3 acres in size. When the congregation recently discovered that their first site was no longer viable, they unanimously decided to look for another option.
“Although our ‘Future Home’ sign has come down, it hasn’t been discarded, only put into storage,” noted Paul Kritsch, pastor of the congregation. “Meanwhile we continue to hold weekly Sunday worship services at 10:30 AM and the weekly Tuesday Neighborhood Bible Breakfast at 9:00 AM, both in the Community Center, 1542 Sharps Chapel Road. And we continue to show our faith in Christ and our love for our neighbors through many servant events and projects. We are confident that Christ leads the way, so we stay close to Him.”
