Three Class Format Options are available
1. Live online courses through The Mission Training Center of Concordia University Portland, the Northwest District. These are often held during evening hours and on Saturdays. Details and registration can be found at missiontrainingcenter.org We suggest focusing on taking the 10 required courses first to satisfy the requirements for licensure and certification. Once completed, send the District a copy of your certificate along with a $25 recording fee to receive full credit for the course.
2. Regional courses within the Mid-South District – there are no classes available at this time, please check back again or email Missy Washburn.
3. Online self-paced video course utilizing lectures from Concordia Seminary.
Courses offered: Old Testament, New Testament, Doctrine, and Homiletics.
Requires working closely with your pastoral administrator.
Standardized final exams are now in place for all courses offered through the Mid-South District. These are obtained through the District office.
SMP credit is received for these courses. After completing the self-paced video courses in Old Testament, New Testament, and Doctrine, the student contacts the District office who then notifies Concordia Seminary, St Louis. They in turn make arrangements with the student on taking the exam.
