On December 8, 2019, Agape Lutheran Church of Kahama in Tanzania ordained eight men into the Office of the Holy Ministry and installed five women as deaconesses. This congregation of 700 is a part of the South East of Lake Victoria diocese of The Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tanzania (SELVD-ELCT). The five hour service also included the funeral of a church elder. The Mid-South District has been privileged to see the fruits of the partnership of the District with SELVD-ELCT with Concordia Theological Seminary (CTSFW) and The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod.
May the Lord richly bless each of these new pastors and deaconesses.
