This group of Sunday school youth from Faith Lutheran Church (Oak Ridge, TN) uses some of their Sunday school offerings and share it locally and internationally. Recently they went to their local Walmart to hand out Godly Acts of Kindness.
When you give someone a gift card, they usually say, “Why are you doing this?” That opens the door for you to say, ”we just wanted to bless your day,” or “we wanted to share Jesus’ love.” Being a good witness isn’t hard when you practice. This gives the youth the opportunity to practice and to learn the words to say. This time, they passed out 15, twenty dollar gift cards as well as a business card with the church contact on it if the recipient wanted more information about the group.
