Concordia Theological Seminary is hosting a continuing education class for pastors and lay people at Messiah/Carlyle. The class dates are September 17-19 and features Rev. Dr. John Kleinig. Dr. Kleinig’s topic is “Making Music for the Lord: The Role of Choral Music in the Divine Service According to Chronicles and the New Testament.”

In connection with Dr. Kleinig’s class, Messiah is hosting a hymn festival on Tuesday, September 17, at 7pm. Featured organist is Benjamin Kolodziej, organist at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas and member of Faith Lutheran LCMS in Plano, Texas. Mr. Kolodziej’s organ improvisations are published by Concordia Publishing House. Members of the entire District are invited to attend.
