Last year, through a successful Wheatridge/Crowd Funding campaign, $8,000 was raised thereby providing 30 computers for the Lutheran Institute for Management and Entrepreneurship (LIME) in Madagascar. The Rector of the Institute is Rev. Joseph Randrianasolo; he also serves several congregations in and around the city of Fianarantsoa.
Following a tsunami of red tape and documentation delays, the Lutheran Institute of Management and Entrepreneurship (LIME) in Fianarantsoa, Madagascar, is now fully connected and on-line! Rev. Joseph Radrianasolo reports that the Wifi system installation was completed in August 2015, and students are enjoying the potential for expanding their skills and knowledge through global connections.
In March of this year, we received the following message from Rev. Randrianasolo, “It is with great joy that we announce you that the first graduation for Licentiate Degree in Management and Entrepreneurship at LIME (Lutheran Institute of Management and Entrepreneurship) took place this past February 2016. I am sorry that it has taken time for me to send you some pictures of the event. I depended on a second person for the pictures and it had taken time for her to have them developed. The event took place in the church of Mahamanina, Fianarantsoa, one the largest Lutheran Church in town.
I take this opportunity to thank you all our supporters in this educational adventure. Thank you for the computers and thank you for the WIFI. These have been capital for the teaching and the researches and they will be in the future of the LIME.”
Now that the computers are in place and LIME is up and running, some much needed repairs need to be undertaken at the institute. As is the case with all educational facilities, it is vitally important that the infrastructure be maintained and improved as resources permit. If you would like to contribute to the Lutheran Institute of Management and Entrepreneurship (LIME), please mail your check to the Mid-South District, Attn: LIME, 1675 Wynne Road, Cordova, TN 38016 or if you prefer, click on the “Give Now” button. Please enter it as a restricted gift and type in Madagascar.
Thanks be to God!
