Ladies sewing ministry at Friends in Christ (Bryant, AR) making masks
These ladies are members of Friends in Christ Lutheran Church’s sewing group, “Squares with Prayers.” They began last year by making quilts (hence the name) and quilted lap blankets and bibs for nursing homes, hospice, shut ins and for our Kids Closet ministry. They meet every Friday and begin with a devotion (also the name), then sewing. Their meetings were suspended at the outset of the pandemic, but recently resumed, making masks. They’ve made 44 masks. The masks will be used for our worship services when they resume, and also given to those who need one, or for a donation to their ministry. The ministry will continue and once the pandemic subsides they will resume making quilts.
