It has been an eventful year for First Lutheran School in Knoxville, Tennessee. First Lutheran has been blessed to provide opportunities for our students to help those in need. One of our favorite events each year is the St. Jude Trike-a-thon. This event encourages all students to consider the needs of others, and make the choice to make a difference.
This year our E.C.E raised over $1,300 for St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital with their trike-a-thon. We were blessed to partner with the East Tennessee chapter of the Epilepsy Foundation to learn about bike safety and provide all of our three to five year old children bike helmets. To make the event even more special our 3rd-8th grade students helped with the trike-a-thon by helping students balance and cheering them on as they rode around the track. The trike-a-thon has been a staple at FLS for years and will remain a great event for years to come! ‘
