The district board of directors is pleased to announce that the amendments to the district bylaws, made at the 2015 district convention and finalized/formally adopted by the board of directors last November (as authorized by convention Res. 02-03-15) with the changes to Bylaw 1.1.3 recommended by the Commission on Constitutional Matters (CCM), became effective upon the approval of the CCM at their April meeting (Opinion 14-2735C). A copy of the bylaws has been incorporated into the 2015 District Convention Proceedings, which have been finalized now that we have the CCM’s approval of the bylaws. These will be distributed soon by the district office to the congregations and district convention delegates.
You will also note that the resolutions adopted by the district convention for the Synod’s convention have been considered by the Synod floor committees in the Workbook and the First Issue of Today’s Business (which are now available) on the Synod’s convention downloads webpage.
